Its finally graduation!!! The photos i hav can be viewed here. 3 years is very fast i still remember Mrs Loy warning us during our first day in sch to never be stuck at being a programmer but to climb higher then that.

3 years seemed a long time but somehow a endless stream of projects, classes, events and hanging out with friends seem to shorten considerably. Yet again now is the time to say goodbye to another school which has become like a second home. No more student council activites, no more staying late in sch just to plan,execute or prepare for a event, no more killing of brain cells over problems during events.

There are a few places I would like to bid farewell to firstly the council clubhouse which will be soon demolished and its ever impending messiness after events, the Incubation lab and its ever freezing air-con and of course the 2 ICT blocks itself. Although only 1 will cease to exist forever in the near future never again will i be able to step into these places as student of the sch but now as an alumni. I still remember a question that was posted to me at my 1st d-comm interview "Why do you want to join the council?" a simplified version of ans would be "I want to make a difference". I hav no idea if that ans has came true for others but for myself a difference has been made. I learnt i changed and so did everybody else, none of us are the same person that stepped into this very polytechnic 3 years ago. Now we carry with us experience, memories and teachings that will forever affect the way we think, move and even feel.

The chinese have a saying: "饮水思源" it means as benefit from something we should think about its source. We should remember those who have taught us something or in a way helped, at this note there are a few ppl whom i would like to thk
Mrs Loy- this mentor very poor thing haha have to do alot of things for us cuz we too active liao
Ms Angela Wee - Thks for ur support in all our endeavours
Mr Andy Ng, Brandon Lam, Lai Shao Bin - Learned quite a few things abt leadership and event organisation and execution from u guys
Mr Melvin Tan - Thks for teaching me photography and letting me borrow ur eq
And all the other staff and lecturers thank you very much
Also all the seniors who have helped me in one way or the other thank you very much too!

Remembrance is not abt the journey itself but abt the little things that happened during the journey. The moments shared with friends in joy, endless amount of stress and of course in victory. To all those who hav yet to complete this journey pls cherish it while u still can, it will be an experience that can never be forgotten and to the current yr 1s do leave this polytechnic with regret make the most out of ur time here.

Near graduation

Haix graduating soon. I will miss np and all the things and ppl there the past 3 years was really fulfilling shall not save much leave the longgggggggg post to graduation day haha

Qiang the sad kid

Qiang is 1 very sad kid. He lives in boon lay so he has to take a 1 hr bus ride to sch sometimes even longer. 2day i tried an experiment and it was an epic failure. I tried to takes bus home the route is as follows board 198 at boon lay --- stop at jurong library change 51 --- home! next time i will try another route this 1 sucks completely. Any1 reading this pls tell qiang he is 1 sad kid

5D mark 2

Just came back from orchard went there with 01 si hui and qiang to get follow 01 to collect his jeans from levis. Saw the specs for the new Canon 5D mark II and am reading the preview now.

I am beyond super tempted to buy it if i have the money argh Nikon definitely got owned this time they better have a gd ans to canon's challengers and soon at it

Update update

k just a little update

Worked for creative at comex awhile back. Stood for 4 days talking/bargaining/arguing with customers who ask u questions that are so technical that u start wondering,"how in the world am i supposed to noe that?" to customers who ask so eh not very intelligent question that leave u wondering the same things. Overall had fun working with Rose(boss), shi hui(np Ict poster gal), ariel, jian zhang, Chu Wei, Eric, Jia Hui and more haha sry i bad at remebering names.

After that did photography duty for NPSU's Challengers camp. Met a few familiar faces like melissa aka xiao bai , robert, shim(spelling might be wrong), russel and a few ppl i didnt really noe at foc. The video for the campfire was abit of a flop haha, i will learn from this mistake and make a better video next time. had fun running ard the camp taking photos . the participants as usual was rather enthuisatic and energetic.

looking at these freshies makes me wonder was i really like that as a freshman?

17/7/2008 marks the end of my student council duties. No experience will be able to quite match the past year or for that matter the past 2 years. All the times spend at that old old clubhouse, e-garage and of course the cs room that was happily reclaimed by estate but never used for like so long. I will remember that doll thingy that Si Peng left there, the ever welcoming sofa and all the stuff that was inside that usually ended up being a mess that somebody had to clean up. It probably had more hidden treasures then doremon's pocket. I will also remeber the experience of getting shot by Andy for not doing this for doing it wrongly. The times where every one worked until we were all going crazy and of course the people that i met along the way
It will be very hard to ever forget all things that happean the memories may be come blur but the feelings will always stay

1st up the IG committee 07/08
Adrian Tan Han Xiang. U are not the 1st becuz u are rememebrable u are 1st becuz ur name starts with "A" so dun think too much haha just kidding. Anyway it was fun working with, ur meetings are never boring cuz u will be too busy sidetracking with ian, corrine and cheryl with all that gossip. Besides u are always sprouting so many things from ur mouth from burbs to utter nonsenseical things. And ur tendency to stress ppl working under u to death when u are stressed(i still remember the bubbles incident ) and of course the fact that you are so incredibly noisy( i think the whole council and MNA ppl can attest to that) but other wise u are quite a fun eh human to work with haha

Jospeh Soh . The quiet suddenly pop out person. Like the exact oppsite of adrian you are always quiet until u have something to voice out. Althought you are always busy due to the fact that you get to much perfect GPAs that you dun even have a reaction to getting a GPA of again 4.0 you still put in alot of effort. It was fun working with you both in discovery and IG i learned quite a few things from the experience.

CORRINE HO HUI YIN. Adrian and Ian and Cheryl no.1 gossip partner . Congrats on your appointment as the treasurer haha. I must say after watch u work during the investiture u have really grown alot(mentally not physically) . U are no longer as blur as before hope you can contuine to grow and become a better leader. What i hav to say to you is still the same as what i said at the sharing session during the variety show debrief so contuine ur hard work =)

Wei jie. Like corrine you have really improved quite abit. However also like corrine what i said during ig still stands for you. Good luck in ur job as the sectartary and congrats .

Ian Tan . haha i will forever remember that fact nt ian wears can ever be fake goods. I will also remember all the bitching you did with cheryl and corrine and adrian.

Cheryl Liew . ok although offically you are not part of the IG team however you contributed so much that i dun feel right not including you in this section. You too have grown alot since that time. I can see the passion and the desire to contribute in you. Contuine your hard work and dun worry ppl will recongise you for it.

Others

Hadi ismanto. The other discovery head. Your enthuisam is proablly the best thing you have never once have you been not enthuisactic in events. It was fun working with somebody like you.

Yes you are mention 1st ok happy =). send me a sms after you are done reading ok? =) haha. 2 years of working with you in the council haha . From discovery 06/07 to the 07/08 council. haiz how to say . ai ya u know lar har haha no need say so much. Remember the promise for next sem hor haha.

Shi Hui. The super model student, president of the council, excellent grades, poster gal and an endless list of suitors. Ok jokes aside working with you is a fun exprience You never lost your head in any situation and is always serious in your duties. Truely somebody that can be relied on to bring the team 2gether. And of course a gd source of advice when needed.

Issac Chong. Yes SU president ok yes very dai sai i agree ok happy. My teeth are say too much and i will kill you i tell u 1st. I think i learn abt photography then anything else from u haha. But thks for the sound advice when i needed espically on those 2 love birds that matter.

Alan Huan. Another from last year council. Our unoffical sound tech haha and super poking pillow.

Keng Theng . I will always remember you for morries the fan. And of course the walking toking mrt directory.

Shawn Ong . Keng theng's usual parther in eh not crime lar just something .... Your ideas and thoughts abt matters are always something to consider abt.

Siew Fong. i can use 2 words to desrcribe you. Late and sleep . haha just jking lar. my moral sounding board , if i dun noe what to do abt something running it past you always makes it easier to think abt it =)

Dun worry just do your best and nobody can fault u for it. i noe i always say cui but seriously i am just joking. i noe shi hui duns think so but i do noe how much is expected of you from the higher ups. the reason i did not take you up on ur offer to joining another term is not becuz i do not want to anymore. more importantly then other reasons is the fact that i think my time is over its time to trust the council with someone capable and that is you. However if you do really need something what Ms Angela Wee told you after the investiture stands. All you need is a phone call =).

Yes watty its up to you to help sebas. only u can share the load of his job. The rest can share the burden. Dun blur anymore you are the vp now cant do that anymore gd luck.

Xue Li. Discovery head ar? better do a gd job hor or i really will kill you.... just kidding. Just do your job as best as you can ok?

To the new council espically the ex-cos you are given the wings to fly, its time you learn how to. Fly and take the council to even greater heights

To the old team. The job is done, the swan song has ended and the curtains has fallen. Its time to entrust the stage to the new crew our job is done. We may watch we may give advice but never will we again perform on that same stage for that same show. Thank you for the past year

i realised that a decision i made some time back was correct. The action i decided to take was for the better.
